** EDM Operator
** to join our manufacturing team in Youngstown, Ohio. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced machinist with expertise in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) who takes pride in producing high-quality precision components. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining EDM equipment while ensuring products meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and production requirements.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Set up and operate Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

+ Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, process sheets, and technical documentation.

+ Load materials, fixtures, tooling, and machine programs for production runs.

+ Monitor machine performance to ensure dimensional accuracy, quality standards, and production efficiency.

+ Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

+ Make machine adjustments and offsets as needed to maintain product quality.

+ Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and process issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

+ Maintain accurate production records, quality documentation, and ERP system transactions.

+ Perform routine preventative maintenance and basic machine upkeep.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and company safety standards.

+ Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

+ Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.

** Qualifications*
* + High school diploma or equivalent required.

+ Technical or vocational training in machining is preferred.

+ 2-5 years of experience operating Wire EDM and/or Sinker EDM equipment in a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical specifications.

+ Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.

+

Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
