Welder – 1st Shift

Hours:

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Overtime available, including potential Saturdays) Pay: $25–$30/hr based on experience and weld test

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our team on first shift. This role involves fitting and welding pipe to specification using a variety of welding processes in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working from blueprints, measuring materials accurately, and producing high-quality welds that meet company and customer standards.

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld procedures before beginning work
• Measure, cut, and prepare pipe and materials to required specifications
• Perform pipe welding in multiple positions including flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
• Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, or GTAW as required
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and size specifications
• Clean and prepare weld joints and work pieces prior to welding
• Cut pipe using oxy-fuel torches or saws and operate mechanical beveling equipment
• Safely operate overhead cranes and assist with rigging materials when needed
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area

Qualifications:

• 2–5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment
• Flux Core welding experience
• Previous pipe welding experience and ability to pass a weld test
• 6G certification from prior employment preferred
• Ability to read blueprints, use a tape measure, and perform basic math
• Familiarity with SMAW 6010 downhill welding and GMAW STT process is a plus
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Must be able to pass a drug screen
