Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Fabrication Welder. The Fabrication Welder produces a variety of sheet metal parts that meet dimensional requirements, sets up and aligns parts per shop prints in preparation for welding, performs welding operations, and completes final fabrication assembly. Working either individually or as part of a small team to produce metal buildings and enclosures.

• Reference shop prints to determine where each weld is to be performed and meet the size and length requirements of each weld specified
• MIG weld mild and stainless steel
• Create basic fittings
• Adjust the machine to maintain proper welds
• Remove material using grinding process
• Read drawings and inspect parts for basic dimensions
• Perform basic layouts (positioning and alignment)
• Inspect parts against complex engineered drawings
• Spray transfer MIG weld
• Examine weld bead for acceptable attributes
• Perform cope and fit
• Maintain overall dimensions, square, and plum during the welding process as needed
• Finish grind, surface finishing based on departmental requirements
• Repair improper welds
• Tack welds
• Stud welds
• Square parts
• Torch cutting
• Notify the lead person or inspector when product is ready for inspection
• Maintain a clean and safe work area each day and return tools to their proper locations

• Two plus years of experience welding in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Two plus years of experience in the use of basic tools (squares, clamps, fillet gauge, angle grinder, etc.)
• Two plus years of experience with shear, brake press, turret punch, CNC laser, ironworker, band saw, welding machine, cutting torch, plasma cutter, grinder, overhead crane, ratchet straps, and other hand tools
• Two plus years of experience in applicable QAPs (Quality Assurance Procedures)
• High levels of organizational and time management skills
• High levels of analytical, observational, and active listening skills
• High levels of reliability
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check
• Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50 lbs or more
• Ability to stoop and bend
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four plus hours at a time
• Ability to read a tape measure and prints
• Ability to convert decimals to fractions and utilize conversion charts
• Excellent manual dexterity
• Excellent color vision and eyesight
• Alignment with company core values

• 1G & 3G Welding certification
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two plus years of experience in forklift operating
• Forklift certification

• Welding Test Required
