Job Description
The Operational Excellence Engineer is responsible for identifying inefficiencies, reducing waste, and optimizing business processes to improve productivity, quality, and cost performance. This role works cross-functionally with operations, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze current processes and identify improvement opportunities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Design and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and implement corrective actions
- Develop and track KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Facilitate workshops such as Kaizen events and value stream mapping sessions
- Standardize best practices and ensure process consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational improvements
- Support change management and ensure successful implementation of new processes
- Train employees on continuous improvement methodologies
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt often preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of process mapping and data analysis tools
- Experience with ERP systems and operational metrics
- Excellent communication and project management skills
