Provide leadership and oversight for Maintenance operations across both the FQM and OWD Finishing Plants. Lead high-performing mechanical and electrical maintenance teams in a demanding 24/7 manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and asset reliability strategies while supporting the achievement of corporate KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, cost, and equipment performance.

Your Role At A Glance

Step into a leadership role where your expertise keeps our plant running safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. In this position, you will:

  • Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team of more than (80) maintenance employees and contractors across multiple facilities.
  • Foster and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, while championing and supporting all corporate safety initiatives and standards.
  • Ensure the efficient maintenance and reliability of all plant equipment, achieving or exceeding established corporate KPIs.
  • Drive departmental performance through focus on key maintenance metrics, including M , MTTR, and MTBF.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, productivity, cost reduction, and operational excellence.
  • Provide technical leadership in equipment troubleshooting, failure analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Manage and control department operating and maintenance budgets to ensure cost-effective execution and financial accountability.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute routine down days and annual plant outages to maximize equipment availability and minimize operational disruption.
  • Identify, prioritize, and develop equipment reliability and capital improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively address personnel performance, development, and workforce planning needs.
  • Promote and enforce compliance with all company policies, procedures, and cultural expectations.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement throughout the department.
  • Drive the adoption of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies to improve operational performance.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization, both vertically and cross-functionally.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Safety, and other stakeholders to achieve business objectives and support long-term operational success.

What Sets You Apart

We're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • 8–10 years of progressive maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing leadership experience in a heavy industrial environment preferred.
  • Previous experience in the steel industry, pipe manufacturing, metals production, or large-scale material handling operations preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or management experience with responsibility for employee development, budget management, and KPI performance strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, at all levels of the organization, including cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to support troubleshooting and problem resolution on a wide range of industrial pipe manufacturing equipment, automated systems, and CNC machinery.
  • Proven ability to develop, manage, and maintain adherence to departmental operating and capital budgets.
  • Experience identifying, justifying, and executing capital improvement (CAPEX) projects to improve safety, reliability, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Effective project management skills with a track record of successfully leading process, equipment, and reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to apply root cause analysis, data analysis, and statistical techniques to solve complex operational problems.
  • Ability to work independently while also leading and collaborating within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems (SAP), maintenance planning and scheduling, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with the potential to assume increased levels of responsibility and future career growth opportunities.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply safety procedures (OSHA), maintenance instructions, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and company policies.
  • Strong reasoning skills with the ability to apply practical judgment and common-sense solutions to complex technical and operational situations.
