Pay Range: $22.00 – $31.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

Seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Pressure Vessel Welders for a premier manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will perform layout, fit-up, and MIG/Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on pressure vessels and industrial structural assemblies, strictly adhering to ASME code standards and technical blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, fit-up, and MIG/Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Weld pressure vessels and sub-assemblies in full compliance with ASME code standards.
• Set up welding units, connecting cables and setting amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse according to Welding Engineer specifications.
• Manually guide welding guns or electrodes to maintain proper arc length, travel speed, bead size, and depth of fusion.
• Pre-heat work pieces using hand torches when required by procedures or metal specifications.
• Clean, chip, and grind weld joints to remove excess slag, spatter, and surface defects.
• Inspect completed welds visually for bead uniformity, penetration, and adherence to drawing specifications.

• 1-year certificate from a college/technical school OR 2 to 5 years of hands-on welding experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Core (FCAW) welding processes; ability to read blueprints and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with ASME pressure vessel welding standards and procedures.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and apply basic shop math skills.
• Strong team player with the ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and weld test.
