Pay Range: $17.00 – $24.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

Seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for a leading manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will prepare surfaces and apply protective and decorative coatings—including epoxies, polyurethanes, and paints—to manufactured equipment, piping, and structural assemblies using airless and conventional spray systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces by cleaning dirt/grease, masking off protected areas, and removing rust using powered wire wheels or hand wire brushes.
• Mix and blend industrial coatings, epoxies, and polyurethanes to exact color and viscosity specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and operate conventional and airless spray equipment to apply primer and topcoats evenly.
• Coat tight or hard-to-reach areas manually using brushes and touch-up tools.
• Rig, lift, and position heavy pipes or structural assemblies onto paint stands using forklifts, slings, or overhead material handling equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and solvent cleaning on spray guns, hoses, nozzles, and painting equipment.
• Conduct weekly inventory counts of paint stock, solvents, masking materials, and blasting/painting supplies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year operating industrial paint equipment, with 2 to 5 years total experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical school certificate OR equivalent combination of hands-on industrial coating training and experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with conventional spray guns, airless spray systems, surface prep tools, and rigging/forklift equipment.
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as production demands require.
• Ability to read tape measures, work collaboratively in a shop environment, and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
