Pipe Fitter - Youngstown, OH

Pay Range: $23.00 - $31.00/HR Full-Time Permanent Position with Benefits

Seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Pipe Fitter for a premier manufacturing firm in the Youngstown, Ohio area. In this role, you will client out, cut, bevel, fit, and secure industrial piping systems ranging from 1" to 14" in diameter according to technical blueprints, engineering schematics, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Interpret complex blueprints, isometric drawings, and customer specifications to client out full-scale pipe systems, supports, and structural fixtures.
  • Perform layout, pipe segmenting, cutting, beveling, and fit-up for pipe sizes ranging from 1" to 14" in diameter.
  • Utilize advanced shop math, pipe formulas, and takeoff calculations to ensure accurate fitting and minimal material waste.
  • Secure and mount pipes, fittings, and associated equipment to structural skids, walls, or fixtures using clamps, brackets, and tack welding.
  • Clean, modify, and maintain industrial pipe assemblies, fittings, and related system components using hand and power tools.
  • Fit up joints in accordance with strict quality guidelines, with a strong emphasis on ASME and API 1104 weldment standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of dedicated pipe fitting experience, with 3 to 5 years total working in an industrial manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • 1-year certificate from a college/technical school OR equivalent hands-on trade experience/training.
  • Deep knowledge of pipe fittings, takeoffs, beveling practices, and layout principles; familiarity with ASME and API 1104 standards is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read tape measures precisely and apply advanced practical math, including pipe formulas and basic trigonometry.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented shop; successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening.
