We are accepting applications for a full-time Marketing Assistant. This position supports the execution and organization of day-to-day marketing activities across brands. This role is best suited for someone who is extremely detail-oriented, process-driven, and focused on completing tasks accurately and on time. The Marketing Assistant must be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while consistently communicating progress, needs, and next steps.
This position supports a wide range of marketing functions including promotions, dispensary support, customer service communications, content coordination, and operational planning. A genuine passion for the cannabis industry and a strong sense of accountability are essential.
The typical schedule is Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Hybrid, minimum 2 days in office, could be more or less based on project requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing Operations & Execution- Support execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Track and monitor marketing projects to ensure deadlines, deliverables, and follow-ups are completed.
- Maintain organized documentation, timelines, and task lists for marketing initiatives.
- Proactively communicate status updates, questions, and next steps to the Director of Marketing.
- Monitor and manage promotional inventory, including tracking quantities and coordinating restocks.
- Assist with dispensary menu updates to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
- Support sales and dispensary needs with marketing materials and information as directed.
- Assist with scheduling and publishing content across social media platforms.
- Support content calendars and ensure assets are prepared and ready on time.
- Assist with basic content creation such as captions, simple graphics, and short-form video.
- Support email marketing execution, proofreading, and scheduling.
- Monitor customer inquiries received through website forms, email, and social media.
- Respond to or route inquiries appropriately while maintaining clear documentation.
- Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of customer communications.
- Conduct research related to competitors, industry trends, and marketing opportunities.
- Assist with basic tracking and reporting of marketing activities.
- Provide general marketing and administrative support as assigned.
- 1–2 years of experience in marketing, communications, operations, or a related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong ability to stay focused, manage multiple tasks, and complete projects.
- Proactive communicator who consistently provides updates and flags issues early.
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment.
- Ability to reliably work in the Youngstown office at least once per week.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic digital tools.
- Passion for the cannabis industry.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to pass required background checks.
- Experience with project management tools or structured workflows.
- Experience with inventory tracking or dispensary menu management.
- Familiarity with Canva, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Office.
