Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Day Shift

Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Midwest Center of Youngstown, a rehabilitative behavioral health facility dedicated to providing treatment for individuals struggling with addiction. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in guiding patients through their detox process, administering medications, and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Administers prescribed medications and makes independent decisions within the scope of your license involving patient care
- Conducts nursing assessments during intake, shift assessments, and discharge assessments, and maintains accurate records through our Electronic Health System
- Reconciles medication at the end of each shift and ensures that direct care staff performs proper infection control measures
- Collaborates with the medical team, including the attending physician, ARNP, and Clinical Treatment Team, to develop and implement treatment plans
- Provides emotional support and education to patients and their families
- Current LPN license
- 1+ years of experience as an LPN in a detox or similar treatment facility environment
- State LPN license in good standing
- Maintains current CPR certification
- Detox and Psychiatric Nursing experience required
- Ability to recognize signs and symptoms of withdrawal pain and of a critically dangerous medical emergency and respond appropriately
