Overview:

The assistant store manager assists the store manager in planning, directing, and controlling the store's operations and supervising employees to manage production, inventory, merchandising, losses, profits, and work hours across all departments. They support product ordering, sales planning, and compliance with regulations. Responsibilities include hiring, firing, promotions, disciplinary actions, and enforcing company policies.

Job requirements:

• Pass a drug test and pre-employment drug screening.
• Work a maximum of 10 hours per day.
• Possess good interpersonal skills, be mature, and demonstrate leadership.
• Read, write, and perform basic math.
• Develop and enforce policies and procedures.
• Be a self-starter and able to travel to and from work.
• Provide verbal and written instructions.
• Read and interpret financial statements and set objectives.
• Operate store equipment and program cash registers.
• Provide guidance and training to employees, conduct meetings, and communicate business results.
• Handle vendor relations and employee discipline when necessary.

Experience in similar work is preferred. Minimum age requirement is 18.
