Home Energy Consultant, Retail
As a Home Energy Consultant, Retail, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and promoting a wide variety of products within a retail location. Become a subject matter expert on all offerings and utilize proven sales techniques to build relationships. This role is full-time and offers competitive benefits, a base salary, and uncapped commissions with great opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Primary Responsibilities:- Represent Just Energy or IGS Energy to acquire and retain customers by providing an exceptional customer experience at retail stores.
- Utilize a consultative selling approach to discover each customer's unique needs and recommend natural gas, electricity and alternative energy products.
- Demonstrate a tenacious drive for results by consistently achieving all sales objectives and following the established departmental goals, policies, and procedures.
- Build confidence, generate excitement, and maintain interest and professionalism by using listening and negotiation skills when confronted with objections or skepticism.
- Develop collaborative working relationships with other sales representatives, retail store managers and retail employees.
- Proactively learn and effectively demonstrate full understanding of current product programs and offering; communicate clearly to assist customers in making informed decisions.
- Highly sales motivated with excellent customer service, retention, and sales closing skills.
- Proven understanding of the business, lives the company values, and committed to continuous learning and development.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism; ability to make a connection with a diverse array of customers and colleagues.
- Must be able to demonstrate patience and consistently strive for a positive attitude, while identifying and overcoming customer objections.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on education.
- Ability to interpret, analyze, and evaluate information relative to selling techniques.
- Time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and a flexible schedule to ensure performance expectations are met.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience in retail or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in sales, customer retention, or account management.
- Flexibility to work second shift hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends as needed.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from job and training site(s).
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand for extended periods of time at a booth in a retail location. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk; use hands and fingers to operate the iPad; and be able to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs (iPad, training binders, marketing materials, etc.).

Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $
* This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
Commission:
This role is also eligible for an uncapped sales commission.
