The ACV Dealer Floorplan Regional Sales Manager is an outside sales position that develops structured approaches for new business within a defined territory. The RSM works closely with the Floorplan Director and Territory Managers to meet target volumes in new applications, signed contracts, and activations. Responsibilities include prospecting, underwriting, contracting, credit analysis, inventory audit review, and portfolio management while maintaining strong relationships with ACV teams.
Whatyou will do
- Support simplification and enhancement of the customer experience
- Develop and execute an aggressive sales plan within the defined market
- Build a prospect list through cold calling, lead follow‑up, and referrals
- Provide ongoing onboarding and service support, resolving customer issues and pursuing incremental growth
- Utilize Salesforce daily for reporting and tracking
- Hit targets for new applications, signed contracts, line activations, and utilization ratios
- Conduct initial underwriting of potential customers
- Build strong relationships with ACV Auctions’ Regional Managers, Territory Managers, and Vehicle Condition Inspectors
- Manage multiple priorities within tight time frames while maintaining attention to detail
- Communicate with internal management to resolve credit or audit issues
- Ensure compliance and timely completion of all transaction documentation
- Collaborate with management to develop acceptable financial and ROI levels that meet net income targets
- Analyze risk versus benefits on accounts and identify default situations
- Collect default account data to support metric development for decision making

- 4‑year Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- At least 3 years of experience in the Auto or Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding)
- Experience with inventory finance software programs
- Knowledge of Automobile Dealer Financial statements, Tax returns, PFS, and other financial statements
- Experience using a CRM (preferably Salesforce) to maintain and plan a sales pipeline
- Familiarity with all ACV Auctions products and services
- Experienced Sales Manager in developing new territories in the Dealer Floorplan Industry
- Strong organizational and self‑starter skills for covering a large geographic territory
- Ability to conduct initial underwriting of potential customers before submitting an application
- Knowledge of Business Accounting/Financial Statement concepts used in the automotive commercial industry
- Ability to conduct high‑level financial analysis using Tax returns, personal financial statements, CPA‑Audited, Reviewed, and Dealer‑Prepared business financial statements for credit‑facility accounts
- Knowledge of business documentation, including Sole Proprietor ships, S‑Corps, C‑Corps, Partnerships, LLCs, and Holding Companies
- Strong knowledge of legal document preparation, lease and loan documentation, security perfection, corporate information research, statutes, corporate by‑laws, and signature authority protocols
