Security, Security Guard

Summary

Security personnel will be placed in positions to prevent or diffuse situations, while maintaining the integrity of the JAC Management Group, its employees and its patrons.

• Prevent patrons from entering restricted areas.
• Assist in inspection of items prohibited inside the building.
• Assist with confrontations and ejections.
• Warn violators of rule infractions and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.
• Document and write incident reports after events.
• Secure doors, entrances, exits and clear the building.
• Enforce JAC Management Group policies and procedures.
• Watch for and report irregularities such as fire hazards, leaks, and unlocked security doors.
• Coordinate with police department to ensure safety.

• Demonstrate the ability to read, write and communicate effectively and follow directions from supervisors.
• Previous security experience is preferred.

• Ability to speak and understand English.

• Physical strength required to perform assigned tasks.
• Must be able to climb up and down stairs.

• Able to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
