Responsibilities- Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
- Load and debug system‑level controller software.
- Conduct basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices such as sensors and actuators.
- Document all commissioning activities and provide as‑built documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
- Respond to basic warranty calls and resolve service‑related items.
- Calibrate systems utilizing basic electronic test equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation.
- Keep management, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and issues.
- Communicate with contractors or customers on arrival and prior to departure from the site.
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training; maintain a high regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities, and prepare supporting quotes.
- 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field; or at least 2 years of industry experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
- Proficient PC skills and ability to program HVAC‑related software.
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally to customers and contacts.
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Leadership skills to support mechanics working on non‑complex, non‑critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
Hourly rate: $20‑$28, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Includes a competitive benefits package.
