General Facilities Maintenance Technician
As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at Walmart, your role involves executing routine maintenance tasks and ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, and fixtures under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets utilizing multiple craft skills and hand/power tools.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Vocational or Technical certification with 3 years experience or 5 years experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Valid Driver's License
- Eligible for Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
