HVAC Technician
At Vallourec, we are seeking individuals whose passion and dedication match the strength and resilience of the steel we produce. As an HVAC Technician, you'll directly support critical mill operations, work on complex industrial systems, perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, and play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.
Your day-to-day impact includes:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems (filters, belts, bearings, lubrication, etc.)
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and system rounds
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC system issues
- Install new HVAC systems and enhance existing systems
- Support overhead crane cab HVAC repairs and retrofits
- Read and interpret gauges, meters, and system schematics
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Reassemble and test equipment following repairs
- Inspect systems to ensure compliance with specifications and identify malfunctions
- Advocate for safety standards including LOTO, confined space, fall protection, and arc flash procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
We're looking for candidates who are sharp, safety-focused, and ready to roll up their sleeves:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as an HVAC technician in an industrial environment
- Universal HVAC certification and Freon certification
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building systems, and electronic schematics
- Experience working with electrical systems (single-phase, three-phase, and DC circuits)
- Ability to interpret technical diagrams and troubleshoot complex systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance systems (MP2 preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
