Duties

* Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to grade level

* Participate in flight plan approval studies and in other safety tasks and analyses.

* Attend meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to launch support planning, advanced technologies, and support system concepts.

* Accomplish professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, and research development organizations.

* Plan and carry out approvals, technical assessments and data file preparations in support of launch operations.

* Total salary varies depending on location of position

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Professional and Scientific Positions and the Individual Occupational Requirement (IOR) for the GS-1529 Series.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL GRADE LEVELS:

Bachelor's degree: that included 24 semester hours of mathematics and statistics, of which at least 12 semester hours were in mathematics and 6 semester hours were in statistics.
