Job SummaryThe company is seeking a competent driver with DOT credentials to make deliveries to businesses.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to- Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes—some addresses will be industrial while others will be rural.
- Follow routes and time schedule.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, maintain, and operate delivery vehicles and trailers.
- Maintain computer report logs of mileage, maintenance, and fuel for company fleet.
- Safely and effectively secure the load/cargo.
- Provide customer service/resolve issues.
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license is required, CDL preferred.
- Good driving record is required.
- Must be able to pass DOT physical.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Common computer skills are necessary.
- Schedule regularly has a start and end time.
- Overtime and overnights may be required.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
