Job Description
As part of the Branch Banking team, the Financial Center Banker will acquire an in-depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship. The Jr. Banker connects customers with Northwest products, opens accounts, identifies customer financial needs, and connects them to other Northwest financial experts, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Essential Functions- Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations; continuously improve skills through training and professional development.
- Conduct comprehensive financial assessments to identify areas for improvement and growth; analyze customer accounts, transactions, and behaviors to offer personalized recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and procedures; lead operational activities and maintain financial center security.
- Proactively identify and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, address concerns promptly, and transform negative experiences into positive ones.
- Initiate proactive conversations to build rapport and understand financial objectives; employ active listening skills to uncover opportunities.
- Build long‑term relationships, provide ongoing support and follow‑up, and anticipate customer needs.
- Adhere to all bank policies and regulations while protecting customer confidentiality.
- Navigate Microsoft Office and department‑specific software to maximize efficiency; work with on‑site equipment.
- Perform daily branch tasks, including opening/closing procedures, security, and dual control processes; complete special projects as requested.
- Establish effective relationships among team members and solve problems collaboratively.
- Present and express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Actively listen to understand others and facilitate open exchange of ideas.
- Set and pursue personal goals, develop tracking systems, and use resources efficiently.
- Make sound decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, exercising good judgment in gray areas.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Work Experience:
