POSITION
PURPOSE:
Responsible for scheduling instructors and crew members for all categories of required training. Provides additional staff assistance to the Aircrew Records Manager as needed.
- Plans and implements the monthly trainings schedules
- Requests booking of hotel and/or travel for crew members scheduled for training events
- Assist in assuring that all instructors and crew members are notified of their scheduled ground and flight training events
- Coordinates with others, e.g., the Aircrew Records Manager, Chief Pilot, and/or Director of Flight Standards/Director of Flight Crew Training, to plan and implement instructor and crew member training schedules
- Works with others in the Training Department on tasks as assigned, e.g., updating qualifications in electronic systems, processing training forms, conducting records audits
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be very detail-oriented and accurate
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Previous Aviation, Training, Scheduling, or other related experience preferred
Ability to read, write and understand spoken and written English. Ability to writer routines in reports and correspondence. Ability to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff.
QualificationsThe Flightcrew Training Planner is required to live in the surrounding area of Ypsilanti, Michigan and expected to work an normal Monday through Friday schedule. It may be necessary to work some nights and weekends depending on the needs of the company.
