Direct, coordinate, and assess the development and administration of student support and success services across the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) with a focus on retention and recruitment. This role will be housed in the CHHS Health Professional Pathway Hub.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Provide leadership, direction, management, and assessment for the health professional pathway HUB operations, initiatives, and activities across the academic unit.
- This includes prospective student outreach and recruitment, current student retention and persistence, advising, state licensure/certification, and quality assurance systems.
- Analyze data and make data-driven decisions in executing student success strategies for the academic unit and supporting accreditation efforts.
- Manage broader office operations, under the direction of the Office of the Dean, or dean’s designee, and supervise staff members who have direct responsibility for student support/services and success.
- Collaborate with relevant campus and community partners on student advising across the academic unit, including training, when relevant.
- The community partners include, but are not limited to University Advising, Holman Success Center, and Financial Aid.
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluation of professional and clerical staff in the HUB.
- Assist college leadership in formulating and implementing policies and procedures, including budget development, forecasting, and monitoring.
- Serve as a representative on university, state, and national committees and initiatives, when necessary.
- Perform related duties, as required.
Knowledge and skills in college student support and success, including academic advising and administrative data analysis, typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs or a related field are required.
A minimum of five years of directly related professional experience in college student support/success is required.
Demonstrated contribution to establishing and sustaining a diverse, equitable, and inclusive educational and professional environment is required.
Preferred QualificationsKnowledge and skills of higher education administration and college student recruitment and success, including data collection and analysis, typically acquired through the completion of a doctoral degree in Education or related field is preferred.
Experience working with academic/professional programs represented in the College of Health and Human Services is preferred.
Experience supervising and managing professional staff is preferred.
