KeyQualifications:
- Hold an active Michigan Special Education Teaching License in Cognitively Impaired (CI) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-level students, either in ASD - CI self-contained classrooms or resource room settings
- Solid communication skills and collaborative spirit to work closely with a team of educators, specialists, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom for all students
- Deliver engaging special education instruction that meets individual IEP goals for students in two elementary ASD - CI settings and one resource room
- Implement effective classroom management while accommodating a variety of learning needs and styles
- Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to adapt curriculum and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to IEP planning, meetings, and reporting
- Support emotional and social development, ensuring a safe and nurturing classroom environment
