English Language Learners (ELL) Paraprofessional at East Arbor Charter Academy

Job Title

This position is full-time, 35 hours per week.

Located in Ypsilanti, MI, East Arbor Charter Academy opened in 2012 and serves 475+ K-8 students every year. At East Arbor, you can connect purpose with passion.

• Assess English Language Learner student abilities and provide academic intervention to scholars who are eligible for language support services in either 1:1 or group workshops as directed by the classroom teacher and academic intervention team.
• Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally, and socially.
• Attend professional development and articulation meetings with classroom teachers and parents as required.

Must meet state requirements for being a Title 1 paraprofessional.  for the state requirements.

• Bilingual skills, preferred.
• Previous experience working with English as a second language students or with school-aged children, preferred.
• Ability to assist in teaching reading, writing, and/or mathematics.
• Aptitude to understand and navigate technical systems.
