Special Education Teacher - Ypsilanti, MI

Full-time Special Education Teachers are needed for three contract positions, starting in August 2026 and continuing through June 2027. Work directly with elementary students in ASD-CI classrooms or guide learners in a resource room setting, making a meaningful daily impact.

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan Special Education teaching certificate (CI or ASD endorsement)
• Experience working with students in elementary ASD or similar special education settings
• Strong collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
• Effective communication abilities with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability and creativity in lesson planning to address diverse learning needs

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Foster a supportive, engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth
• Utilize a variety of instructional methods tailored to student needs
• Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates
• Participate in professional development opportunities and team meetings
