Youll work full-time within a high school setting, providing vital academic guidance and fostering an environment where students can thrive both personally and academically.

Starting August 31, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, this engaging role involves collaborating with school staff and students to ensure every student receives the support and resources they need to reach their goals.

• Current and active Michigan teaching certificate with School Counselor Endorsement (please provide details of all licensure/certifications with your application)
• Previous experience as a school counselor or related student support role preferred
• Deep commitment to supporting high school students' academic and personal development
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Passion for educational environments and a collaborative approach to supporting student needs

• Provide academic counseling and support to a diverse high school student caseload
• Assist students in developing educational and post-secondary plans
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive student support
• Address student concerns related to academics, attendance, and social-emotional wellbeing
• Lead and participate in school events and guidance programming
