Mobile Meals of Toledo (MMoT) is a nonprofit established in 1967 to support seniors and the medically fragile in the greater Toledo area with access to nutritious meals and social connection, enabling our neighbors to age in place and enjoy a healthy, safe, and independent life.

Duties Primary Overview of Responsibilities for Home-delivered Meal Program:
  • Responsible for interviewing new home-delivered meal clients, assessing current clients for additional support needs, and determining client eligibility to receive services.
  • Responsible for producing accurate, detailed client information for client databases, including income verification. This includes reviewing and revising interview paperwork, referral applications, and reassessment forms; providing required funder paperwork; and relaying appropriate paperwork and information to the department across the agency.
  • Performs other departmental and agency-related functions as necessary. This includes attending departmental and agency meetings as needed, serving on departmental and agency committees as needed, attending and assisting with departmental and agency special events as needed, and performing other assignments as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to maintain the efficient operation of the office.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and obstruction‑free workplace. Special Projects for Supportive Services
  • Coordinates the Pets Assisting the Lives of Seniors (PALS), monthly pet food assistance program (intake, routing, pet food ordering, satisfaction surveying, and documenting best practices with other Meals on Wheels).
  • Coordinates the Durable Medical Equipment HUB in partnership with the Ability Center (intake, calls for requests, re‑ordering DME and hygiene products, managing inventory, documenting procedures, and reporting monthly to the partner).
  • Coordinate work and schedules for social service interns with local Universities.
  • Other client‑centered projects as needed.
Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and/or three years’ experience in a nonprofit, social service setting
  • Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills while dealing with a diverse population
  • Excellent computer skills for record‑keeping, reporting, and data entry purposes
  • Computer proficiency; knowledge of electronic health record systems or other Customer Experience systems (CXM/CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in creating reporting statistics for the program and meeting deadlines
  • Able to remain calm and professional in a stressful situation
