Project/Program Manager (Contract to Hire)

Ypsilanti, MI – 5 days a week onsite. Contract to Hire.

Hourly rate: $50.00 – $60.00/hr.

We are seeking a PMP certified Project or Program Manager to join a growing team that will standardize project execution across the organization. The PM will work directly with in‑flight projects (currently >20 across a 2027 horizon) and will help recommend best practices as the PMO matures.

• Manage project plans with business and IT stakeholders for all assigned projects.
• Refine, update, and maintain project plans and milestones.
• Define project milestones and dependencies for each project.
• Track action items through a 7‑phase tracker:
  Discovery, Design, Planning, Development, QA, Deploy, and Completion.
• Conduct kickoff meeting sessions at the start of each project to align goals, expectations, and requirements.
• Interface regularly with business reps, executive sponsors, application owners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor progress, track KPIs, and manage project budgets.
• Prepare and present project reports and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Train, guide, and mentor staff on Agile topics and industry best practices to aid in building formal PMO processes.

• PMP certification required.
• 10+ years of enterprise project management experience.
• Experience with in Network Security, Application vetting, Infrastructure, and AI streams (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong Agile and Waterfall methodology knowledge.
• Excellent stakeholder, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional team skills.
• Proven ability to work with both IT and non‑IT project teams.

• PMP certification.
• 10+ years of enterprise project management experience.
• Industry experience in Network Security, SAS Application, Application vetting, Infrastructure, or AI.
