CMK Resources is partnering with a rapidly growing organization seeking Project Manager to play a key role in building and maturing its Project Management Office (PMO). This is a unique opportunity to influence project governance, improve collaboration between business and IT teams, and establish scalable project management practices that will impact the organization for years to come.

Engagement type: 6-month Contract to Hire (CTH)
Hourly pay range: $55-65/hr W2
Salary range: $110K–$125K FTE
In this role, you will:
- Help build and mature PMO processes, governance, and best practices
- Lead enterprise-level programs and projects from initiation through completion
- Partner with business stakeholders and IT leadership to align priorities and expectations
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and budgets
- Facilitate project kickoff meetings and ongoing stakeholder communications
- Develop RACI matrices and establish accountability across teams
- Monitor project risks, issues, KPIs, and delivery metrics
- Prepare executive-level status reporting and project updates
- Remove roadblocks and drive projects to successful completion
- Support Agile project delivery methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Balance immediate project needs while helping establish long-term PMO strategy
Required Qualifications
- Active PMI PMP Certification (Required)
- 10+ years of Program and Project Management experience within enterprise environments
- Experience establishing, building, or improving PMO processes and governance
- Strong stakeholder management skills across both business and technical teams
- Experience managing multiple large-scale initiatives simultaneously
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills
- Ability and willingness to work onsite 100% of the time in Ypsilanti, Michigan
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Agile transformations
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, and project reporting experience
- Experience managing vendors, procurement activities, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Background supporting large, complex IT environments
