Imc/Pcu/Stepdown Nurse
$2154.24/week
Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a stepdown or progressive care setting, ensuring safety and quality outcomes. Responsible for administering treatments, monitoring patient status, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
- Administer chemotherapy, including vesicant agents, following proper procedures.
- Complete required oncology courses and unit orientation prior to patient assignment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
- Adhere to safety protocols and certifications such as ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy courses or OCN certification.
Qualifications:
- Current RN license and active nursing credentials.
- Some oncology experience preferred; certification such as OCN is a plus.
- Successfully completed the ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy course or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to monitor and respond to patient clinical changes.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced environment.
