American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit position with at least 1 year of PCU/step-down experience and a MI RN license required.
Details- Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, sometimes 3:1
- Manages devices including chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, central lines, ostomies, trachs, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains
- Administers drips/IV infusions including Heparin, Insulin, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Cardizem
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with every other weekend
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Active MI RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
- ICU background beneficial for this fast-paced step-down setting
- Holiday coverage required for Thanksgiving and one additional winter holiday
- Candidates must live within a 60-mile radius of the facility
- Local candidates accepted at standard rates for Michigan-based applicants
