Uniform Security Officer

Overview

DK Security is Michigan’s fastest growing security company. Established in 1995, we began as an investigations firm and expanded to provide uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention services, and more based on client needs.

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. At this location, Officers are stationed at a local bus station interacting with patrons, conducting foot patrols of the premises, monitoring CCTV, and enforcing company and client procedures, as well as being the first response to any medical incidents on site.

• Reliability – Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
• Friendly personality – Balance outstanding customer service with client policies and enforce rules.
• Follow company and client policies – Read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures, and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
• Use de‑escalation techniques – Defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.

• Full Time:
  Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday 0900 – 1730;
  Weds 1100 – 1930

• Pay Rate: $17.36 per hour

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must not have any felony convictions and must be willing to pass a criminal background check.
• Must successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
• Must be willing to become CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License with a good driving record: less than 3 moving violations, less than 2 at‑fault accidents in the last 3 years, no other major violations in the last 3 years.
• Physical requirements:
  
  sit, stand, or walk for the duration of the shift; walk long distances, up and down stairs; lift up to 50 pounds occasionally; respond to emergency situations promptly.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
