Position Summary: The Housing and Supportive Services Program Director is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of Ozone House’s housing and supportive service programs, including Street Outreach, Drop-In Center, Welcome Center/Crisis Line, Intakes, Homelessness/Eviction Prevention, Shelter Diversion, Housing Supports Coordination/Case Management, and overseeing Voucher Programs. Other key aspects of the role include providing leadership and supervision to team members, fostering community partnerships and system collaboration, ensuring effective program implementation, monitoring outcomes, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Education Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field, strongly preferred.
  • Professionally licensed in the State of Michigan, preferred.

Employment Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of progressively responsible experience, including team and program leadership.
  • Experience in assessment, outreach, community engagement, case management, crisis response or stabilization programs; experience serving high-risk youth preferred.
  • Working knowledge of housing and homelessness system of care and voucher programs.
  • Experience with program design and integration, data collection, reporting, and budget oversight, outcome driven practice, and meeting contractual expectations.
  • Knowledge and proven success working with Evidence-Based and Promising Practices, such as Positive Youth Development and Trauma Informed Care.
  • Proven experience engaging with diverse identities, including intersecting identities of race, ethnicity, socioeconomic background and sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
  • Work requires effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate teams to produce quality work within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects.
  • Possess strong work ethic and ability to take initiative. Demonstrate a high level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and annual background check; valid driver’s license, current insurance, and access to reliable transportation.

Job Responsibilities and Duties Leadership, Management, Supervision:

  • Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Assist in developing goals, objectives, and outcome measures for each program. In coordination with the Grants Evaluation and Data Manager prepare monthly reports for each core program including required statistics and evaluation of service effectiveness.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and manuals for programs and services.
  • Enhance community understanding and integration of runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth through community presentations to schools, civic and community agencies, and participation on community meetings/committees.
