Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (Weekends as needed)

Position Overview:In your first two years, you'll work in the Environmental Services Division, performing recycling collection duties on the back of a recycling truck. During the winter season, on-call overtime is expected for snow and ice operations.
After that, you'll rotate through other divisions such as Streets, Forestry, and Parks Maintenance, gaining experience with a wide range of equipment and public service tasks.
Key Responsibilities:Environmental Services Division:
- Operate recycling and yard waste collection vehicles
- Safely load/unload containers and respond to curbside service issues
- Drive to material recovery or compost facilities
- Operate dump trucks, snow plows, salters, and other heavy equipment
- Perform street repairs, snow removal, drainage maintenance, and more
- Trim, plant, and remove trees
- Maintain parks, ball fields, and public spaces
- Perform building and equipment maintenance
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections
- Maintain communication with supervisors
- Respond to emergencies in all weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Michigan CDL – Class A or B
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding conditions
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather, including nights and weekends
- Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
- Competitive Pay: $22.79/hour
