Caseload: Up to 28 students
School Sites: Multiple school locations
Assignment Type: School-based
Start Date: ASAP / Based on school need
As an RST, you will provide specialized educational support to students while serving as the case manager for students on your caseload.
Responsibilities include:
Manage a caseload of up to 28 students across multiple school sites.
Serve as the special education case manager for assigned students.
Develop, implement, and monitor students’
Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).Schedule, coordinate, and facilitate IEP meetings with families, teachers, administrators, and related service providers.
Monitor student progress toward academic and educational goals.
Prepare and complete IEP progress reports and other required documentation.
Provide specialized instruction and academic support based on individual student needs.
Collaborate with general education teachers to support students in the least restrictive environment.
Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members.
Participate in student assessments and educational planning.
Maintain accurate and timely special education records and documentation.
Ensure services and accommodations are implemented according to students’ IEPs.
Support students in accessing and participating in their educational programs.
Travel between assigned school sites as needed.
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
Valid California Special Education teaching credential or other appropriate California credential/authorization.
Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred.
Experience with
IEPs and special education case management
.Knowledge of California special education requirements and procedures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites.
Commitment to providing individualized, student-centered educational support.
