Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher - Yuba , California

Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, supporting learners across an entire county. This contract position is ideal for an educator who values direct, on-site connection with students, providing essential services not only in one school, but moving between locations as needed. With a caseload of approximately 30 students, including some with cochlear implants, you'll have the opportunity to deliver individualized support, advocate for your students, and foster inclusive educational environments.

• Valid certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
• Experience supporting students with varying degrees of hearing loss, including those with cochlear implants
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the county
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
• Deep understanding of instructional strategies and accommodations for DHH students
• Commitment to on-site work; remote/virtual services are not part of this position

• Provide direct instruction and consultative support to DHH students across multiple school sites
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs
• Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Serve as a resource and advocate for best practices at each location
• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive learning experience
• Offer expertise regarding assistive technology and support for students with cochlear implants

• Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week
