American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a Day shift (3x10) position requiring CA RN licensure and Epic EMR experience.
Requirements- Active CA RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
- Previous travel experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Previous charge experience preferred
- PACU unit setting within an inpatient surgical hospital
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Day shift schedule, 3x10 hours, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
- Fixed schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Epic EMR experience required
- Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients across a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, neuro, cardiac, and general surgery
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from various types of anesthesia including general, spinal, and MAC
- Perform airway and respiratory assessments, including care of ventilated or newly extubated patients
- Local candidates accepted at the local rate
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
