Base pay range$17.50/hr - $19.00/hr
Responsibilities- Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
- Register sales on assigned cash register and provide customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
- Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers.
- Register customer purchases, collect cash and distribute change, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges.
- Recommend items for sale to customer and recommend trade‑up and/or companion items. Assist with OTC products, and take customer to aisle when possible.
- Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient prescription status.
- Report prescription errors immediately to pharmacist on duty and adhere to Company policies and procedures in relation to pharmacy errors and the Quality Improvement Program.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well‑merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records; check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or shift leader.
- Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise; complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures; maintain respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
