The Principal TK-8th at Temecula Valley Charter School is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Winchester, CA. The Principal oversees daily school operations, instructional programs, and campus safety to ensure a high-quality learning experience for all students in transitional kindergarten through grade
8. Responsibilities include supervising and coaching staff, observing classrooms, guiding curriculum implementation, and promoting data-informed instructional practices. The Principal collaborates with families and community partners, manages student discipline, supports social-emotional learning initiatives, and leads school-wide events and communications. This role also includes overseeing budgets and resources, ensuring compliance with charter and state regulations, and fostering an inclusive, positive school culture aligned with the school’s mission and values.
- Demonstrated instructional leadership experience in TK-8 or similar grade spans, including curriculum oversight and support for diverse learning needs.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, and evaluating educators and staff, with a collaborative and growth-focused leadership style.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and community partners, and to communicate clearly in writing and in person.
- Proven skills in school operations, including scheduling, safety and discipline systems, budget awareness, and compliance with state and charter regulations.
- Commitment to excellence and academic achievement for all students.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, with the capacity to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Proficiency with educational technology, student information systems, and data analysis to inform school improvement and accountability.
- Relevant administrative credential or certification as required by California regulations, and a bachelor’s degree; an advanced degree in education, educational leadership, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as a school principal, assistant principal, or equivalent leadership role in K-8 education is highly beneficial.
