PositionMachine Maintenance Technician Level IV
SummaryClean, lubricate, maintain and repair production machinery and equipment. Master level position with high-level troubleshooting skills and techniques on multiple types of machines. Perform difficult machining operations on replacement parts. Diagnose and resolve machine problems, including teardown and reassembly. Establish methods of machine maintenance.
Essential Job Functions- Knowledge of production equipment. Understands and performs machine maintenance procedures.
- Maintains machines, inspects filters and tubes, and ensures machines have coolant and lubricant.
- Able to read, interpret drawings and machine maintenance instructions.
- Records production repairs and machine maintenance information. Follows instructions on maintenance work orders.
- Understands and performs end of shift duties, oil recycling, material separation and housekeeping procedures.
Interprets instructions both written and oral. Works in a team environment to resolve work issues. Knowledge of basic shop math. Forklift certification preferred but not required. Communicates effectively in English.
Education and ExperienceMinimum High School Diploma or GED preferred. Previous work experience in manufacturing setting preferred but not necessary.
Physical DemandsMust be able to occasionally exert push force up to 50 pounds, must have good eyesight and hand dexterity, and able to identify and distinguish colors.
Work EnvironmentWithin safety guidelines, there will be exposure to noise, moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is listed at the top of this posting. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
