High School Registrar
Reports to:
Principal and/or Assistant Principal
- Update and distribute forms and appropriate supplies to staff as needed.
- Assist with automated callers‑attendance & obligations.
- Help with safety drills and any other drills that may arise.
- Communicate and troubleshoot technology issues regarding staff e‑mail, printers, copiers, phones, and computers; assist with maintenance of office area, break room, and storage, keeping them clean and organized.
- Enroll and withdraw students.
- Collect outstanding obligations when a student withdraws.
- Process residency affidavits.
- Respond to requests for records.
- Keep consent to treat & transport forms current and organized.
- Manage GED forms.
- Inactivate or activate OSS as necessary.
- Enter student data and alerts (medical, legal, parental, etc.) and notify staff as needed.
- Verify and maintain Wave data, ensuring accuracy.
- Receive, verify, and print progress and report card grades from teachers.
- Coordinate with the counselor’s secretary on communication regarding test results, schedules, and progress reports.
- Prepare senior transcripts for colleges and scholarships.
- Assist counselors with NC or grade changes, including data entry and correcting after appeals.
- Compile student names and send letters for summer school; enter summer grades, ACT and EOI scores.
- Prepare dropout reports four times a year and compile quarterly and yearly reports.
- Assist students, parents, and staff with administrative requests.
- Work with military recruiters and foreign exchange companies, athletics, SRO, alternative school, juvenile officers, and visiting counselors.
- Organize graduation items and supplies; distribute diplomas to current graduates.
- Manage end‑of‑year activities with the principal secretary and counselor secretary.
- Collect outstanding obligations, maintain customer service relations with stakeholders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to use office software and equipment (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google apps, school software, copiers, fax machines).
- Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, spelling, and vocabulary.
- Knowledge of district characteristics and components.
- Strong communication skills with parents, teachers, transportation, administrators, and outside agencies.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, ability to meet deadlines, set priorities, work as part of a team, and handle detailed data.
- Experience with Power School SIS preferred; bilingualism preferred.
- Some lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; largely seated (90% sitting, 5% walking, 5% standing).
- Potential for constant interruptions, inflexible deadlines, and changes to normal routines.
- Full‑time, 8 hours per day, 237‑day contract.
- Salary: $17.22 per hour.
- Pay ratio: 1.290.
- High school/trade school degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
