Job Details

The Outside Plant Field Engineer works to ensure that the Bluepeak network is being constructed to Bluepeak’s network and operations standards. The Outside Plant Field Inspector (OSP/FE) is present on fiber optic construction projects to ensure that the construction of Bluepeak’s Fiber Optic Outside Plant, both aerial and underground, including fiber, conduit, field electronics, splicing, and enclosures are constructed to meet or exceed Bluepeak standards.

This role will inspect the product of Bluepeak construction crews and coordinate the remediation of any issues that prevent Bluepeak from accepting the constructed plant. The OSP/FE may be called upon to create, review, and approve detailed field records of the installed infrastructure. The OSP/FE will consider the impact on construction, installation, and future maintenance when assessing the fiber infrastructure.

Focused on the post‑construction aspects of infrastructure, the OSP/FE must possess a comprehensive understanding of fiber design to effectively support engineering and construction efforts to ensure projects are planned and executed with safety, by the deadlines, within budget, and with the quality expected by Bluepeak.
