Plans, designs, and directs engineering projects such as streets, roads, residential and commercial developments, municipal and institutional facilities, industrial facilities, drainage projects, airports, and channels.
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, and aerial photographs for soil composition, terrain, hydrology, and topographic data to plan and design projects.
- Calculate costs, determine feasibility, and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software to create documents.
- Prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, cost estimates, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, legal documents, easements, and designs.
- Meet with clients to coordinate changes, provide updates, address inquiries, and resolve issues.
- Coordinate with government officials to obtain approvals and permits.
- Coordinate project activity with staff, subcontractors, labs, and other entities.
- Track progress and prepare activity reports in accordance with regulations, company policy, and client needs.
- Research regulations, products, and design techniques to meet client needs.
- Stay current on techniques, materials, codes, regulations, and software through seminars, briefings, and forums.
- Project Manager ensures adherence to the CTA Project Management Plan.
Supervise the design work of engineers and technicians on assigned projects.

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BS) from an accredited institution; minimum four years related experience.
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer Intern (EI); must be licensed Professional Engineer in Oklahoma.
- Valid driver’s license; able to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Proficiency in database, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydro Flow, hec-ras, Design, Internet, Project Management, Excel, and Word.
- Strong mathematical skills (algebra, geometry, trigonometry, percentages, ratios).
- Strong reasoning ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
- Effective communication skills for presenting to management, public groups, and boards.
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, financial reports, legal documents, and scientific materials.
- Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
Moderate noise level; typical office environment with occasional on‑site inspections.
