This position pays $40,000 per year ($19.2307/hour).
- This is a supervisory role that works closely with Park Administration and is assigned responsibilities related to management and supervision of a team; incumbents will also be involved in the care and maintenance of park property.
- Conducts inspections of buildings, premises, and equipment; determines requirements for maintenance, construction, or renovation projects; makes estimates of costs for labor and materials; inspects work in progress and upon completion for code compliance.
- Manages staff; develops and implements budget; coordinates purchase of materials; ensures compliance with laws, rules, and regulations; prepares routine and special reports.
- Evaluates bids on projects; prepares specifications for standard and specialized equipment, supplies and vehicles.
- Prepares cost estimates on future capital improvement projects; reviews plans and construction documents.
- Schedules work crews; reports or confirms time and attendance of crews.
- Completes reports of equipment operations, installation and maintenance work performed and of materials, supplies and equipment used.
- Performs minor repair and maintenance tasks in all areas including plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry and other general construction tasks.
- Cuts grass, weeds, trees and brush; cleans culverts, drains and ditches.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in one or more building trades including two (2) years supervising employees or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be able to perform tasks that involve regular bending, stooping, squatting, walking and lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Some locations will require a valid Driver’s License.
