Proclinical is seeking an Area Director of Clinical Operations to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across multiple clinical research sites.

Primary Responsibilities:

In this role, you will ensure the successful execution of clinical studies, from start-up through completion, while driving performance, resource optimization, and compliance. This position requires a collaborative leader who can align cross-functional teams, manage risks, and deliver on financial and operational objectives.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, project management methodologies, and clinical research operations.
• Expertise in sponsor engagement, site management, and risk mitigation.
• Proven leadership in managing multi-site operations and developing staff.
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in clinical research, including supervisory or management roles.
• Willingness to travel as needed, including air travel.

The Clinical Operations Area Director's responsibilities will be:

• Lead project management for assigned studies, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are met.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities, including site operations, recruitment, regulatory, quality, and sponsor-CRO interactions.
• Monitor study performance, proactively addressing barriers to enrollment, timelines, and revenue.
• Oversee operational planning for high-priority and multi-site studies, allocating resources effectively.
• Drive accountability for area performance, ensuring enrollment milestones and revenue targets are achieved.
• Evaluate site and study performance using KPIs and dashboards, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with site leadership to develop corrective action plans for underperforming studies.
• Ensure sites have adequate staffing, training, equipment, and resources to execute studies successfully.
• Provide oversight of study execution, including visit completion, data entry, and query resolution.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring quality and compliance standards are upheld.
• Report regularly to executive leadership on area performance, risks, and growth opportunities.
• Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
