** Where You’ll Make a Difference
*** Perform microbiological analyses of raw and finished products following established procedures.
* Verify equipment daily and perform minor maintenance on test equipment as assigned.
* Ensure all retained samples are properly identified and stored.
* Prepare reagents, media, and testing supplies as needed.
* Apply basic aseptic techniques to maintain sample integrity.
* Assist with special projects supporting quality initiatives.
* Maintain laboratory housekeeping and complete the master sanitation schedule.
* Follow all Safety and Food Safety practices during job functions.
* Contribute to Quality Control and the advancement of IFF within the Quality organization
** What Makes You the Right Fit
*** Associate degree or higher in a science-related field OR 5+ years of experience as a lab analyst or lab technician.
* Experience with LIMS or equivalent laboratory information system.
* Familiarity with GMP-regulated environments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to wear required PPE (steel toes, hardhat, hearing protection, protective eyewear).
* Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, and reach overhead.
* Comfortable climbing stairs up to 9 levels in high-heat environments (up to 120°C).
* Previous experience in microbiological testing within a food or ingredient manufacturing setting.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
