the security supervisor reports to the security manager. The security supervisor position is considered a safety sensitive position. The security supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating security personnel activities on daily basis.
duties and responsibilities:
- to organize and assign work activities of security personnel.
- to recommend changes in policy and procedures to insure security.
- to prepare proposals for manpower and equipment needs.
- to assist customers, personnel investigating criminal violations where this condition arises.
- other duties as assigned.
authority and supervision capacity:
- to supervise all security personnel to insure that the facility is adequately secured.
- to review all disciplinary actions given to employees
- to approve or disapprove any employee request for vacation, sick leave, or leave of absence.
- to ensure all employees are being treated equally.
qualifications:
- minimum high school education (prefer some college education).
- minimum 3 years past experience in security related field.
- good working knowledge of security equipment.
- able to communicate well with people both oral and written.
- good understanding of management practices and internal controls.
- background in training and instructing.
- ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- prepared to submit to background check and random drug testing.
- dependable transportation.
- must maintain valid cheyenne and arapaho gaming license.
