Protestant Religious Education Coordinator
Location: Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona
About the RoleLanguage on Demand is seeking a highly organized and dependable Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to support the Religious Support Office at Yuma Proving Ground, AZ. The selected individual will assist with the planning, coordination, administration, and execution of Protestant religious education programs and activities that support Soldiers, military families, and authorized civilians.
This position is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills, event coordination experience, and a passion for supporting faith‑based community programs.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support Protestant Religious Education (RE) programs and events.
- Maintain program calendars, schedules, attendance records, and administrative documentation.
- Prepare and distribute program materials, flyers, and communications.
- Assist with classroom setup, supply management, and event logistics.
- Support Sunday Religious Education classes and weekly religious education activities.
- Assist with Vacation Bible School (VBS) and Youth Chapel programs throughout the year.
- Attend planning meetings and coordinate closely with the Chaplain and Religious Support Office staff.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with program policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to obtain installation access and successfully complete required background checks.
- Comfortable working in a faith‑based environment supporting Protestant religious programs.
- Experience in church administration, ministry support, religious education, youth programs, or community program coordination.
- Experience working with military organizations, chaplain programs, or government environments.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule based on the approved Religious Education calendar and program needs. The role does not follow a traditional Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule.
Regular support will include Sunday Religious Education activities, weekly Religious Education classes, planning meetings, and administrative preparation. Additional hours may be required for special programs such as Vacation Bible School, Youth Chapel events, seasonal activities, and other chapel‑related events.
The selected candidate should be available to work flexible hours, including some evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays, depending on the program schedule. Government business hours are generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, but chapel programming may occur outside of those hours.
