Salary: $16.16 per hour
Summary of Function: (Grant Funded) Part-time role dedicated to modernizing and enhancing standard college
course materials. This position focuses on using generative AI tools and other editing software to edit video content,
develop interactive instructional aids, and improve the overall aesthetic and pedagogical quality of existing curriculum. The goal is to transform traditional resources into high-engagement, "AI-enhanced" learning experiences..
Typical Duties:
- Serves Students. Utilize AI-driven video tools and other editing software to edit lecture
captures, add automated closed captioning, generate B-roll, and create concise "microlearning" clips from longer instructional recordings. - Use generative AI to refresh static course materials (e.g., converting text-heavy slides into
visually engaging infographics or creating AI-generated voiceovers for existing
presentations). Supports and participates in strategic planning initiatives and performs other
duties as assigned.
- At least one semester in higher education as a student or employee
- Experience with AI tools, video editing, higher education instructional course materials
- Arizona Driver's License or Equivalent
- Non-Exempt
- Part-time, 7-month position
- Up to 19 hours per week
- Work flexible schedule to meet the program, department, and/or institutional needs, which may include
Fridays, nights, and/or weekends
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret, apply, and follow college policies and procedures
- Knowledge of or ability to maintain organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and effective pedagogical practices in digital learning
environments - Knowledge of generative AI tools, limitations, risks, and responsible use in academic content development
- Skill in current technologies and word processing, database, presentation, and spreadsheet software,
specifically Microsoft Office applications, Windows, college system platforms, software, and applications
especially those specific to the department operations - Skill and ability to be self-directed and to manage one's own time
- Skill in performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature
- Skill in video editing and AI-enhanced multimedia production for instructional use
- Skill in evaluating and refining instructional materials to improve clarity, engagement, and accessibility
- Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development
- Ability to organize, prioritize, follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion, with close attention to
detail - Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment
- Ability to provide assistance in a professional and supportive manner
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, in writing, and in a public setting, and to relate to others in a
professional manner - Ability to be flexible and supportive, positively and proactively assimilate changes in rapid growth environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of protected information and follow FERPA and privacy guidelines
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic workload and demands
- Ability to operate relevant equipment required to complete assigned responsibilities for the position
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and civility in all job-related actions
- Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and take appropriate actions to resolve problems using
independent judgment and decision-making processes - Ability to apply sound academic judgment when reviewing, validating, and approving AI-generated content
