Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-appropriate licensure required)
- Previous experience or strong interest in SEAL and/or PALS programs is a plus
- Capacity to independently manage a self-contained classroom
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to individualized education and differentiated instruction
- Passion for collaborating with students, families, and colleagues
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Delivering instruction, support, and advocacy for students within a self-contained setting
- Creating and adapting lesson plans to meet individualized education plan (IEP) requirements
- Assessing students' progress and documenting growth to inform instruction
- Collaborating with support staff, paraprofessionals, and related service providers
- Engaging with families to provide updates and encourage partnership in students’ learning journeys
- Participating in team meetings and providing input on program improvement
